When should I call for service?
You should call for service:
- When you hear strange noises.
- If your unit is not heating or cooling sufficiently.
- If your utility bills are higher than normal.
- If it takes longer than usual to heat or cool your house.
- If there is a water leak.
What maintenance is required to keep my system in good working order?
Every unit should be cleaned and checked routinely to stay in top working condition. There are some things that need to be checked by a technician. See our Preventative Maintenance Plan for a list of things a technician will check. There are some simple things you can do yourself to keep your system working more efficiently.
- Make sure your filters are clean.
- Make sure vents (including intake) are not blocked.
- Keep debris and weeds away from the outside unit.
- Check ducts to see if there are holes or if the duct has become disconnected.
